About the Organic Work Trail

What is the Organic Work Trail?

The Organic Work Trail is a cultural initiative of the Greater Poland Voivodeship Government, which brings together institutions, non-governmental organizations and local government units related to the idea and heritage of organic work and jointly creating the trail community.

The forerunner of this idea in Poland was Dezydery Chłapowski, a landed gentry noble from Greater Poland, who was the first to implement the values of organic work on his estate in Turew. Chłapowski quickly found followers, and over time, organic work ideas spread beyond the borders of Greater Poland.

What is the goal of creating the Organic Work Trail?

By inviting people to places related to the life and activities of Greater Poland's men and women connected with organic work, the Trail Community brings closer the inhabitants of the region and tourists from Poland and abroad to organic ideas: important from a historical and contemporary perspective, such as building the economic and civic strength of society, foundational education, equalizing opportunities, caring for the common good, freedom and equality of citizens’ and workers' rights.
