The Turew Palace invites you to a unique event held as part of the "Organic Work – The Heritage of the People of Greater Poland" program. On Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Turew Palace and Park Complex will host the "Picnic with the General – The Greater Poland Work Ethos."
The organizers have prepared a day full of attractions for the whole family, blending history, tradition, education, and modernity. The program features demonstrations of traditional crafts—such as blacksmithing, roofing, shoemaking, and weaving—alongside historical games and educational workshops. Participants will also be able to view specially staged historical vignettes that bring to life the traditions of Greater Poland and the ideals of "organic work."
Regional dishes prepared by Rural Housewives' Associations will be available, as well as a health zone featuring preventive care programs from the NFZ (National Health Fund), KRUS (Agricultural Social Insurance Fund), and Sanepid (Sanitary-Epidemiological Station). Highlights of the program include DNA workshops conducted as part of the "G4PL – Genomics for Poland" project and the opportunity to digitally restore old photographs.
A VIP zone will also be set up in the palace courtyard as part of the "1st Kulfon Classic Car Rally." Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the palace independently during the event.
"Picnic with the General" is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with the family and discover the heritage of Wielkopolska in a unique atmosphere.
