Orgaically About the Earth. Herstury, culture, and environment
Conference's programme (Polish only)
What does it mean to think organically about the Earth? What kinds of practices emerge from such an approach?
"Organically About the Earth: Herstories, Culture, Environment" is the third Herstory Conference organised as part of the Organic Work Trail. This year's edition focuses on care for the planet as one of the most urgent challenges facing contemporary societies.
Through panel discussions, workshops, and artistic projects, we explore perspectives offered by researchers, practitioners, artists, activists, and experts from a range of fields. Together, we consider how different ways of thinking can help us respond to environmental and planetary crises.
What can environmental humanities teach us about relationships between people and the more-than-human world? Why do local initiatives and community engagement remain essential in an age shaped by technological innovation? What role can art, culture, and creative practice play in imagining more sustainable futures?
The conference also explores how new technologies and scientific solutions can be used responsibly and with sensitivity to local contexts and needs. Alongside broader discussions, we highlight everyday forms of environmental care and grassroots initiatives that make a tangible difference in local communities.
By bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences, the conference invites participants to rethink the connections between people, culture, and the environment, and to discover how approaches derived from the organic work movement can help build a more sustainable future.
Panel Discussions: 25 April
Workshops: 26 April
Participation in both the conference and workshops is free of charge. Advance registration is required:
